What you practice for IELTS
Practice every IELTS section
Work through realistic Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking tasks built around the actual IELTS format. Each session targets a specific skill so you improve where it counts, whether you sit IELTS Academic or General Training.
Build the vocabulary that raises your band
Band 7+ comes from active vocabulary, not memorised word lists. Nektar drills high-frequency IELTS words and academic collocations in context, with spaced repetition so they stick before test day.
Master Writing Task 1 and Task 2
Learn the structures examiners reward — clear arguments, cohesion and precise language. Practice timed responses and see exactly which topics and linkers you still need to work on.
Track your band score and weak spots
Every session updates a simple dashboard with your estimated band, your mistakes and the topics you keep missing, so you always know what to work on next.

How is the IELTS band score calculated?
IELTS reports a band from 1 to 9 for each section (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking) and an overall band that is the average of the four, rounded to the nearest half band. Nektar estimates your band as you practice so you always know where you stand.
How long does it take to prepare for IELTS?
Most candidates need 4–12 weeks depending on their starting level and target band. Short, consistent daily practice is far more effective than occasional long sessions — which is exactly what Nektar is built for.
What is a good IELTS score?
Most universities ask for an overall band of 6.0–7.0, while competitive programs and many immigration routes require 7.0+. Aim half a band above your requirement to stay safe.
