What students should do now

Students who qualify for an SAT fee waiver and are registering after August 13 should make sure they are using a current 2026–27 code that begins with “FW26.”

If a student previously entered a valid fee waiver and benefits were loaded into their College Board account, College Board says those benefits do not expire.

  • Check that your fee waiver code starts with “FW26” if registering after August 13, 2026.
  • If a code does not work, contact your school counselor or the school staff member who handles SAT fee waivers.
  • Do not assume an older “FW25” code will work after the cutoff date.

Information for schools and educators
