SAT rules page revised September 29
College Board’s SAT Testing Rules page is marked “Revised: September 29, 2026.” The organization does not provide a public change log on that page, so candidates cannot determine from the notice which individual rules were changed in this revision.
The current rules say students may not access AI tools such as ChatGPT or Photomath while taking the SAT or during breaks. Review the full rules before test day, particularly the requirements covering permitted and prohibited conduct.
- Read the SAT Testing Rules before travelling to the test center.
- Do not use or access AI tools during the test or breaks.
- Follow staff instructions and the test-center procedures on exam day.
The September 29 revision notice does not itself announce a new SAT test date, fee, registration deadline, answer key, or individual score release.
