What the assessment includes

An estimated band.
Four criteria to understand it.

  • Task Achievement / Response
  • Coherence and Cohesion
  • Lexical Resource
  • Grammatical Range and Accuracy

Each criterion includes a band estimate, a rationale, evidence from the response and a suggested next step.

Students also see strengths, improvement priorities and word-count feedback alongside sentence-level corrections.

Sentence-level feedback

Illustrative excerpt · not a student result

“If the government spend more money on buses, there will be less cars.”

Subject–verb agreement and countable nouns

If the government spends more money on buses, there will be fewer cars.

Use “spends” with the singular subject “the government”, and “fewer” with the countable plural noun “cars”.

Improvement priority

Develop the supporting idea

Explain how better bus services could reduce car journeys, then add a specific example.

Revise the answer and request another assessment.

Previous assessments are available in the app’s history.

AI-generated band estimates and feedback support practice; they are not official IELTS scores. The excerpts illustrate the feedback format, not a live assessment.

A few practical questions.

Who can partner with Nektar?

Language schools, IELTS preparation providers, test centres and education organisations that work with IELTS candidates. We’re interested in partnerships that create value for students and both teams.

Can we simply recommend Nektar to our students?

Yes. Nektar is already available for students to use independently. Sharing it as an additional study resource does not require an institutional software integration.

Can our team take a closer look first?

Of course. If your team is interested in evaluating Nektar for a partnership, we’re happy to arrange complimentary Ultra access for the people reviewing the product. We’ll agree on the details with you directly.

How are partnership terms decided?

We start with your students, your goals and the type of collaboration you have in mind. Any student offer, referral terms or institutional package is discussed and agreed individually.

Is the AI feedback an official IELTS score?

No. AI-assisted feedback is a study aid, not an official IELTS assessment or a guaranteed test result. Nektar is an independent preparation product.

Let’s start with your students

Could Nektar fit
your programme?

Tell us about your institution and what you have in mind. We’ll learn about your students, arrange a product review, then agree the scope and terms before anything starts.
